all ways. Product fees or payments by sources other than our clients
do not compromise our position as fee-only financial advisors.
Integrity: This value relates to
a strict adherence to our professional code of ethics and conduct.
It is about doing what is right, serving the client's interest.
Furthermore, we follow a rigorous work discipline where our reputation
is "on the line" each and every day.
Competence: We hold the Chartered
Financial Analyst charter and Certified Financial Planner™
status to be the professional designations of choice but do not
believe that competence is maintained without continuing education.
Therefore, we strive to exceed the annual educational requirements
as imposed by the CFP™ board as well as our membership in the National
Association for Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA).
Efficiency: We believe it is our
fiduciary responsibility to educate each client with a basic
understanding of financial markets and of investment fundamentals,
such as risk and returns. We believe this knowledge is the best
defense against the emotional info overload from Wall Street and
the media designed solely to sell products. It also helps avoid
substantial hidden costs. Constantly reinforcing this knowledge
is at the heart of our service, and we believe essential for the
client to maintain the most direct path to the life desired and
to peace of mind.
Trust: Our intent is to be the most
trusted advisor on our client's team. We eagerly assume in writing
a Fiduciary Responsibility for all aspects of our relationship.
That means that all our advice and actions are completely unbiased,
No brokerage employee can sign such agreement. Clients must believe
we always have their best interest in mind.
Value: We will never tell anyone
our services are cheap. Yet, we want each client to feel strongly
that he is receiving an exceptional bargain for his fees.
Since we are truly fee-only, we can help clients avoid the fees
and hidden costs imbedded in products sold by the brokerage houses,
mutual funds, and insurance companies. Typically these savings
exceed our entire fee.
